WRITING IS A TEAM SPORT™

We take a holistic approach.

Writing about yourself is hard. It can also be illuminating, confidence-building, and fun. Drawing from our experiences writing, publishing, and teaching, we use our creative skills and editorial expertise to help students think and write about themselves.

We work closely with students, helping them to find their story, and then transform it into the best college essay they can write. We meet with students one-on-one, in person and/or remotely, guiding them in a structured but friendly way. Our first session is spent getting to know each other and brainstorming ideas. Subsequent sessions are devoted to outlining, drafting, revising, and fine-tuning, culminating in an essay students are proud to submit.

  • ALISON

I have written over twenty-five books for young readers, among them the middle-grade novels Nobody Was Here and The Pity Party (Scholastic Books.) As much as I love writing for young readers, I love working with young writers, in workshop settings and especially one-on-one.

I love helping young people dig in and find their voices.
