Beginning the college essay
Our workshop will give students a clear understanding of what colleges look for in an essay. Students will learn to mine their own experiences for narratives they want to develop, and through a series of exercises, get comfortable writing about themselves in a voice purely their own. By the end of the four sessions, students will have essay topics, as well as rich material from which to draw as they draft.
